Arizona Tech University (AzTech) can replace ASU Polytechnic. Similar universities include Tennesee Tech and Louisiana Tech. AzTech would share a similar name to Texas Tech.Alternatively, "Arizona Institute of Technology" (AzTech) could be the new name which matches the title to the Georgia Institute of Technology.
AzTech is a Polytechnic research university that would offer its own complete set of STEM-oriented academic degree programs with a mission and curriculum that could mirror Cal Poly. It then contains the relocated liberal arts and sciences (New College) programs from the ASU West campus plus the existing science, technology, engineering, and agri-business programs from the ASU Polytechnic campus, thereby doubling Polytech's existing research output. AzTech can continue to further expand its curriculum as a "complete university."
